All Social dance lessons are held on Tuesday evenings in the aerobic studio in the basement of the Scot Center. Lessons start at 7:00 p.m., in which we teach the basics of International style Latin (Samba, Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive) and Standard dances (Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, and Quickstep) and are taught by our coaches Yvonne and Niklas Manz. These lessons are perfect for both experienced dancers and total beginners.
We also offer workshops in other dances and dances styles and student-run dance practice on Saturdays, generally between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
We do not require any special dance clothes or footwear, though we do ask that students enter the aerobics studio in clean, dry shoes. Many students practice barefoot, in sneakers, or in socks.
