Mrs. Yvonne Manz and Dr. Niklas Manz have been dancing Standard (Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, and Quickstep) and Latin American (Samba, Rumba, Cha Cha, Paso Doble, and Jive) ballroom since they were teenagers in Germany. In 1993, they began dancing as a couple in Standard competitions, eventually specializing in formation team dancing. They won the German national championship four times with their Braunschweiger Tanz-Sport-Club. On the German national team, they competed in 13 European and world championships, placing 12 times and earning two European titles. They won the World Championship in 2000. Dr. Manz is now an Associate Professor of Physics at the College of Wooster.
